Ratchet: Deadlocked
October 31, 2005
Insomniac has done it again. For the last three years I have bought a Ratchet and Clank game. Each one has been better than the other. Man these guys rock.
Deadlocked is different from the last two sequels. Clank is almost non existent in it. There are alot fewer weapons. They make up for that though with the ability to add mods to all the weapons. Some of the mods are reather creative.
My favorite mod is the electrical one. You can take out a whole room with only a few shots. Electricity spreads to all the enemies. Once powered up it is quite deadly.
Graphics have been improved slightly. It’s hard to tell but the games does run smoothly even with tons of stuff going on. Quite a feat. Insomniac is probably one of the best PlayStation 2 developers out there. Highly recommended.
From Russia With Love Demo

EA is doing better with this license. The last Bond game sucked big time. This one is on the road to redeming themselves.
I never did see this Bond film, but it sure was a fun level to play. The production is top notch. Very detailed, voices, set pieces everything was nice. The demo was rather short, but in the end you did get to take down a helicoper with flying in a jet pack.
Need For Speed: Most Wanted Demo

OK there hasn’t been a good NFS game since Hot Pursuit 2. Man will they please go back to the regular supercars and get ride of the riced out ones. The controls were horrible. The graphics though were quite good.
I sure hope that people get tired of these kinds of cars. There all boring. Who wants to have to rice there car up to get further in a game. That should be optional.
We Love Katamari

Quite simply if you liked Katamari Damacy you will like this game. Some of the levels are quite intersting in this sequel. Thought it is hard to really call it a sequel. Just more of rolling up everything. There are a few twists, such as a level where you race around a track with cars, racing at around there speed. Another where you roll up snow to make the head of a snowman.
The graphics haven’t really changed much, though there is a rather weird story going on that you get to see clips of after every few levels. The music isn’t quite as good as the first game. The first one had one of the best soundtracks ever in a game.
At thiry bucks it is ten more than Katamari Damacy was, but you still get your moneys worth as it is easily longer than the first game was.
